This desk is solid! I have it set up for work and also to hold my Juki TL 2020 when sewing. It doesn’t jiggle at all. Desk is a great height for both activities, even cutting fabric. I’m so happy I made this purchase- no more working or sewing on the kitchen table!!!This is my second Origami folding desk, identical to the first and ordered for another residence. It’s incredibly easy to put together: just unfold, lock latch to stabilize, and add desktop to top of base. It’s solid, study, attractive and spacious, and the simple, classic design is appropriate for any design setting. I strongly recommend. From reading other reviews on this site, showing shipping damage, and outright bad quality, I was pretty skeptical about this desk. Even moreso because I gambled on an Amazon Warehouse Deal with a damaged box. My gamble paid off and the desk was fine. The frame was a hair bent on one support bracket, but it bent back okay, with no creaking or popping. The desktop was flawless, and fit just fine into the frame with no extra effort needed. I'm a big guy, but it was still incredibly easy to move into my room, vs my previous desk in similar size that needed two people.I checked all the welds and they're not spectacular but the thing is held together okay. The frame is pretty cheap but the desktop is a little better. Once everything is together it's pretty sturdy. I have a 32" monitor and all my peripherals on the top as well as a good sized gaming PC with 5 HDDs, and it's fine. It definitely won't fit a mid sized gaming case on the bottom side shelves, but the middle is easily big enough. The clip on back is basically there for show. It's way too flimsy to clamp down securely, and bent after a couple days. The desk was able to wiggle back and forth quite far after it did that. Alarming with an expensive PC on it! I fixed it by securing the frame together with heavy duty zip ties instead. Now it's perfectly solid, and I have no problem clipping them off and putting on new ones if I need to move the desk. This could be a potentially fatal flaw for this product if somebody is unaware of what's happening. It's okay for something to be cheap but it needs to work and be safe. Anyone who reads this review and still decides to purchase this desk would do well to do this from the beginning. The desktop is spacious, and is a decent surface with solid finishing on the edges. It's coated MDF, so it's going to be cheap. Takes fingerprints really well, lol. I wouldn't set a cold drink on it or the like. However, with my big mousemat, and a coaster, it seems to be okay. It looks okay even with a few smudges as it's not highly reflective. Cleans easily with a wet cloth. It's reasonably stout material, but I wouldn't put a triple monitor clamp on it or anything. If you are aiming for multimonitor stands, go for something nicer. If you are just looking to use multiple displays on the desktop itself though, it's plenty strong. Fill the entire width with screens and it'd still be okay.Overall it's a cheap but decently strong desk. If you get a good one, it works as well as expected. I had one kinda big problem with mine but it was easily fixed. You get what you pay for I suppose. In this case, that's not a bad thing. It was a cheap way for me to get a compact and stylish desk that didn't have someone else's wear and tear on it.I love this desk. I didn't have any problems with it at all. Came without a scratch, dent or ding in the desktop or frame, all the hardware is exactly the way it needed to be and the setup literally took my 5 minutes. The only part that took any time was unwrapping it. It unfolded perfectly, the latch was secure and easy to operate and the desktop just slid right on. Just a couple of pins to secure it and it was done. It was actually fun to put it together. Not something I would have thought I would hear myself say about a computer desk, but there's just something kind of cool about unfolding your furniture. I have been looking for something like this for quite some time. It's currently holding my 27" gaming monster monitor and my 21" baby with a bit of room on the sides for my USB hub and my speaker. If I could change anything about it, it would be nice to have a deeper desktop since I like to have my monitor a little further back. Both my keyboards fit in front of my monitor, however, and there's still plenty of real estate for my drink, my phone stand and my mouse with a huge mouse mat. It's a little tight if you're a bit excessive with your tech like me, but not at all constricting, still plenty of room for gaming. I wont be fitting a second 27" monitor on it without a bit of finagling but that's what monitor arms were invented for. This thing is solid, doesn't move at all when I'm typing or gaming or even when I inevitable lean on it without thinking. I've paid twice as much for desks that scared me a bit when I leaned on them. The shelf on the bottom is a bit thin, but I've had my feet on it for pretty much the entire time I've had it set up and it still bounces right back when I lift them up. I don't plan to stand on it, so I think it's OK for now. Can't speak to how much weight it would actually hold, I don't have my tower there, I've got an Origami laptop desk that it's using as a pedestal instead. I tinker with my computer too much to have it down there anyhow. All in all, this is a solid desk. Maybe I was super lucky with absolutely everything working perfectly, but I have zero complaints with this. I've finally found folding furniture that's actually good enough to be classified as furniture. Well done. I see they make bookshelves too, I'm now well on my way to a completely folding computer room. Couldn't be happier. The price is right and the desk is awesome, definitely recommend. After 3.5 years of owning this desk I am upgrading, not to any fault of the desks tho, I just needed more space and a more professional looking desk. This desk was perfect for me when getting my first place, cheap, literally needed no tools to assemble and durable. Exactly what I needed at that point in my life. It survived wine spills, heartbreak and anger and sad fist smacking, almost impossible to stain and barley chipped. It fits a normal office chair and even me at 6 feet tall and easily fit 2 monitors.I would recommend this to anyone that needs to move around a lot or thinks they may have too or someone just starting out in your own place. 9.9/10This desk at that time in my life just might be one of the best purchases I've ever made. This is a great computer desk which folds up for portability (top comes off). You just set it up - no actual assembly needed. I like the fact that it has a foot rest along with stands on both sides - you can put a subwoofer speaker or something similar on one side and your desktop pc on the other. The only thing I might have liked better is a metal top instead of fibreboard, though that would likely increase the price. Desk height is standard and should accommodate a taller person. Top width and depth is large enough to easily fit a good size printer along with a monitor if you are using a regular sized monitor, or it will be enough for a large monitor and a few extra items. Open back removes complications of wires being wound around something the wrong way. This item shipped from Canada and arrived quickly. Recommended. The folding mechanism is brilliant: lightweight, attractive, sturdy, and easy to lock into place. The first one I received had a number of chips in the desk top surface from being poorly packaged. The replacement had no shipping damage, but poor quality craftsmanship on the corners where the laminate seams meet. It in no way affects functionality, but it does detract from the feeling of quality, which is somewhat expected at this price point. If the desk top itself were better quality, I'd say 5 stars, but I feel the company should address both the quality and the packaging.
